    Hi I'm Jennie I recently bought a new laptop that was refurbished! It's a Dell nice laptop and it runs great for me but on issue I have a problem with my Windows 7 Professional. it's not genuine. I get pop up errors all the time about it being a software counterfeiting! I contacted this person I bought my laptop off of and he's never return my calls or emails. I just need to get my windows genuine and etc. If anybody has any thing I can do please contact me. I love the Dell Laptop it does what I need but not with having this problem it makes things are for me.

    "To check your PID press the win key and pause at the same time, or open system properties through the control panel, scroll down to activation section and look at the PID It will look something like this 12345-067-1234567-54321.

     
    The portion you are interested is the three digit section of the product ID number, if it matches or is within one or two digits of the examples below you probably have an MSDN or TechNet product key." These keys are not to be sold for retail use.

     
    065, 066, 067, 068, 069 for Ultimate,  220 area for Professional and 230, 231, 232 area for Home Premium,

     
    There are probably others but they should be close to those posted"

    Note: Although sold illegally MSDN/TechNet product keys allow for more than one activation (typically 5 or 10), Therefore these keys can be sold "multiple times" before activation may fail.

    First thing is make sure the Product key with the seller. If we couldn’t contact to he, we could run the MGAD Tool to check as J W Stuart provided.

    For the Product key policy, if you purchased a new computer with OEM version of Windows 7 preinstalled, you need to check the computer case to find out the product key or contact the OEM support.

     If you purchased a retail version of Windows 7, please check the package or confirm with the retailer.

     If you have not purchased a version of Windows 7, please contact the local Microsoft Customer Service Center or go to the store to purchase one copy.
